Please can you suggest me some two-syllable boy names that are cute as a baby but would also fit for when he grows up. I have only got Tyler on my list for now.

I don't like Tyler. It reminds me of Tizer or someone who does tiling.

I wouldn’t use Tyler, it is downmarket so won’t be helpful to him.

I think Tyler is sometimes considered a bit downmarket in the UK, so I wouldn't use it personally.

If you go for a classic "grown up" name like Edward, Frederick, Alfred, Thomas, Samuel etc you could then use a cute nn for when they are little, like Teddy, Freddie, Alfie, Tommy, Sammy etc .

Alternatively what about Tristan, Dylan, Jared, Evan, Caleb, Owen, Ethan, Zack/Zachary, Felix, Rufus, Henry/Harry, Lucas, Max or Jack? - I think they suit all ages.

Tyler is a bit dowmarket. Nice as a surname but not as a first name.

I'm not keen on Tyler.
