Middle name for Iris

Hi,

I’m at my wits end trying to choose a middle name for my daughter who is due soon. We have a few options for her first name but I’m struggling with a middle name for Iris. There are a few I like but I’m not sure any of them are ‘the one’. Husband likes Iris Arabella and Iris Rae.

Do you have any suggestions?

I'd rule out Rae. It's a bit of a filler middle name, along with Rose, Grace and Mae/May. Arabella is a bit too frilly for my taste.

Asuming your surname was Smith, Iris Smith is fine but it gets overpowered by the middle name Iris Arabella Smith.
Iris Rae Smith flows better.

A longer surname might accommodate a stronger middle name.

Nobody uses middle names much.

Thank you for your thoughts. Our middle name is 3 syllables long and sounds a bit like ‘Harrison’. I also think Arabella is a bit frilly but I could cope with it if it was something he really wanted. I have always loved the name Grace but my friends daughter’s middle name is Grace and it would look like I was stealing it haha

That’s lovely actually :) our surname is long so it would balance quite nicely too

Iris Winter end Iris Evelyn are lovely.

Siobhan is a lovely name but not really something I would choose sadly

I think Iris Evelyn might be the best though! Think Arabella too frilly, Rae I just think is filler, Winter I think is odd.

My dd is Iris Robyn but also love Evelyn (that’s my other daughters name.)

I don't think we could have Evelyn. It's a friend's daughter's name but I do like it.
