Ruhini / Rohini... so confused!!!

Hey everyone! We have been so confused between these Indian two names. They both have very different meanings and sound really similar! Any advice / opinions would be much appreciated, thanks :)
Oh and Ruhini is pronounced Roo-hini (soft i)
And Rohini is pronounced Row-hini

I know a Rohini and think it's a gorgeous name - everyone pronounced it Ruh-Hini though!

Are they for a girl or a boy?
What are the meanings?

I prefer Rowhini.
