Don't like boys names :(

Honestly, why are boys so hard.

Found out No 2 on the way is a boy today. Even before this we gave up talking about boys as couldn't agree on any, I literally struggle to like any.

Nameless baby boy at this rate

Anyone else who struggled, what did you go with?

  • Alfred (Alfie)
  • Archie
  • Oscar
  • Jude

Oh and also maybe Stanley.

My lb is called Hudson, he was going to be called Harrison but every Tom dick and Harry knew or was related to a Harrison... Just too popular. His middle name is Kaci (kc are my dad's initials).
I've wondered about names recently and literally couldn't find anything I remotely liked, I quite like Cody, works for a girl or boy.kind of in line with Hudsons 'American' name. I knew a child that wasn't named for 6 weeks, he ended up being called King

LauEli · 22/01/2021 19:21

I also like Elias, but husband says it's a firm no Confused

We struggled to agree on a boys name - girls were easy! This was our shortlist:

Felix
Scott
Westley
Zachary
Victor

We also both really liked Oliver, but as the most popular boys name in the UK, we both vetoed it despite agreeing that it was a favourite.

MercyBodle · 25/01/2021 01:31

Some I like for Scarlett's brother:
Griffin
Jasper
Caspar
Thomas
William
Jack
Walter
Harry
Hugo

I have 3 boys and had the same problem! Boy's names are so boring! I settled for Obsidian, Onyx and Blaise as I felt these names had character and were different from the more common ugly boy's names.

Aquamarine1029 · 06/02/2021 04:12

Vaughn

Daisy947 · 06/02/2021 05:42

Reuben was the first name I thought of to go with scarlett!

niknakpak · 06/02/2021 06:55

Similar to Ryan/ Liam:

Adam
Luke
Jake
Sam
Evan

I always found boy names a bit harder. With dc2 we didn't decide till he was born, which I found a bit easier.

Synchrony · 06/02/2021 10:10

Ethan?
We have no solution I'm afraid. Husband and I both have boy names we like individually but none overlap!

Onlinedilema · 07/02/2021 11:27

I agree op. I find there is less middle ground with traditional male names. So on one hand you have the Williams, Henrys, George's etc and at the other end of the scale are named sick as Hudson, Jaxon, Tyler etc. Less inbetween. Then a host of cutsey nickname such as Alfie, Freddie, Frankie etc.

IcedLimes · 07/02/2021 15:31

I like Jack and Ivan

HereIfYouNeedMe · 07/02/2021 15:51

Scarlett and Renley
