Opinions on boys names please

Hey. We’ve recently found out we’re having our second boy and we’re stumped for names. Of course I had a list of girls names as long as my arm . We just don’t seem to love anything ! We do know we like fairly normal names. Our DS1 is called Oliver (so we’re not concerned about popularity!).

Any thoughts on our list, or recommendations? Thank you

Joshua - but don’t like Josh
Elliot
Jacob - hate Jake
Theo
Alexander - not Alex
Noah
Anthony
Gabriel
Harrison

I have a Joshua. I think his friends call him Josh, but no one else. So its not a certainty that it will be shortened.

Elliot is my all time favourite boys name but ex vetoed it both times.

I like Elliot and Noah from your list. Does Oliver go by olly? I wouldn’t use Elliot if that’s the case.

First name that popped into my head as Oliver’s brother, though, is Robert

My boy will be Gabriel if im ever lucky enough to have one.
If you don't like Jake Josh or Alex don't use Jacob Joshua or Alexander.
You can hardly stop a 15 year old shortening his own name.
I love Elliot and Theo.
I like Anthony, but Only if its pronounced An-tony not An-th-ony.
Noah is okay. I didn't particularly like or dislike it.
Don't like Harrison.

Thanks all. No he doesn’t go by Olly. I assume he may by his peers when he’s older but family and close friends know we don’t wish to shorten it. We don’t mind it which is why we were happy to go with Oliver. But he wouldn’t be called it at home.

After much deliberation I’m down to Elliot and Theo! I’m still not sure about Theo and my boss. But I love it as equally as Elliot

We’re going with Elliot! Works really well with our surname and chosen (family) middle name so it’s the winner!
