Just that really!

What are your thoughts on the name Georgina?

And what do you think would go well as a middle name?

Thanks!

Georgina is nice although I slightly prefer the Austenesque Georgiana. Either way, it's a fairly classic name with a lot of great nn choices - I like Gia or Ginny best but Gigi is cute on a little one too.

I'd keep the middle name quite classic too with one or two syllables - maybe Eve, Claire, Charlotte, Sophie or Lily?

ArosAdraDrosDolig · 10/01/2021 22:21

Georgiana I would pronounce Georg-ee-ah-na rather than Geor-jay-na so you may get a pronunciation issue.

I like Georgina but as someone else said I think it has quite a harsh sound so needs a softer middle name.

Georgina Emily
Georgina Florence
Georgina Rosabel
Georgina Fleur
Georgina Beth

Beautiful, classical

I like it very much.

Georgiana is just too much - 4 syllables makes it so much more OTT and flouncy sounding.

It’s three syllables.

Geor-jay-nuh

I have a Georgia, which obviously I love. But Georgina is nice, neither names are popular which is what I like.

RubyFakeLips · 11/01/2021 09:52

I also prefer Georgia and Georgiana. Georgina is too stuffy for me, agree on a short middle name but maybe something more fresh to offset?

Definitely not Rose/Mae type things.

Georgina Astrid/Nell/Wren/Sage/Rae etc.

Thanks everyone very helpful.

Still mulling over middle names but good to see that generally speaking it's not seen as ludicrous.

There are two valid pronunciations.

Jor-jay-nuh

Jor-jee-ah-nuh.

I googled because I was surprised to see the first on this thread having never heard it before.

Love it. For a middle name I'd go for a girly name, possibly ending in a y

Georgina Lucy
Georgina Lily
Georgina Holly
Georgina Betsy
Georgina Polly

Are you okay in your head? Georgina? Terrible name, I wouldn’t ever name my kid that.

grandmasterstitch · 12/01/2021 20:12

Georgina is lovely. I would go Georgina Ruth
