Due No.2 soon and have now decided we both aren't sure on our boys name of Jonah Jordon.

As a family tradition of carrying your fathers name his middle name will definitely be Jordon so any suggestions that go with that?

Thanks x

Josiah
Noah
Elias
Isaac

Joseph? Joel? Joshua? Jacob? Jared? I think the option of the nn JJ when he's little is cute. Or:
Caleb
Isaac
Elijah/Eli
Ezra
Asa
Samuel
Gabriel
Nathaniel

Dexter Jordan

Are you Jewish? That name combination has really strong Jewish connotations to me as a Jew, just wondering if this intentional or coincidence? They’re fine together, why are you not sure?

Jacob and Josiah as suggested above are very similar but obviously have different inferences.

JemimaTiggywinkle · 11/01/2021 15:57

I think it’s a really nice combination, assuming you don’t have a J surname as well.

SamanthaF1233 · 11/01/2021 17:04

No not Jewish so just a coincidence. I still really like it however we have decided for Astrid if we have a little girl as we dont know and he feels it is not as unique for a boy compared to that name. I think I will convince him again as I really like the combination and as mentioned above love the idea of having a little JJ. No surname begins with F so we should be alright!

Rufus Jordon

Jonah is a lovely name! Are you worried they don't for together? They do sound a bit repetitive, but I don't think it's a big deal, unless you're going to call him by both names day to day?

Other options:

Noah
Ezra
Eli
Elijah

ParisJeTAime · 11/01/2021 17:23

Don't GO together, sorry. Stupid autocorrect!

SamanthaF1233 · 11/01/2021 17:30

I think we were also worried about it being to similar to our daughter who's name is Jenna and also as mentioned that is sounds a little repetitive next to Jordon. I do still like it just dont feel 100% set on it yet but that happened with our daughter then after she was born I knew that was the name for her!

Jenna and Jonah...yeah, they are quite similar I think?

Not sure it would mean an absolute no, if I was in your shoes, but since you aren't set on it anyway, I would probably keep looking tbh.

Flumb · 13/01/2021 10:43

If either of you are comic book fans you could go for Hal Wink

I think Jenna and Jonah are too similar. Other suggestions: Jacobi Cosmo (if you are not planning on using Astrid in the future)

I found the name Axel last night which I quite like and think goes with Jordon. I think my main worry was how similar it sounds next to Jenna bit of a tounge twister if you call them out together haha! Thanks for your suggestions.
