Claire April Rose
Claire April Elise

I like Rose a little more. But not sure in this combination Smile

I like both, erring slightly more towards Rose at the moment... One question though, what's the first letter of your surname?

DotDotDotDotDot · 10/01/2021 14:03

Are you sure about Claire? It seems so so dated to be honest. Clara is much nicer. If you must though then Claire April Elise.

KeeefBurtain · 10/01/2021 14:04

Claire April Elise

IggyAce · 10/01/2021 14:05

Rose it flows slightly better.

Monkeytapper · 10/01/2021 14:12

Claire April Rose

Donnaj28 · 10/01/2021 14:31

Rose is much nicer but initials better with Elise.

RuthTopp · 10/01/2021 14:40

Her initials ( should it matter to you ) spell Carb. However I do prefer it to Elsie.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 10/01/2021 14:44

Does she need 2 middle names? I can understand if you want to 'honour' 2 grandmothers or something, but just for the sake of it?

I prefer Claire Elise.

But if you really want 2, then
Claire Elise Rose

BigusBumus · 10/01/2021 15:05

Why Claire out of interest? It's a pretty name but as I am in my 40s it's the name of a million girls I went to school with and hence fell out of fashion.

It's probably due a revival. I'm guessing you're in your 20s or early 30s and don't have that association.

Unless it's a family name of a loved one?

PrivateParty · 10/01/2021 15:19

I think rose works better too.

partyatthepalace · 10/01/2021 20:10

Rose - it flows better

I like Clare without the i personally...

YoniAndGuy · 10/01/2021 20:16

Don't have a little CARB!

They're both ok. Claire is dreary though, sorry.

The middle names don't matter so much really so I'd go for Elise.

resm · 10/01/2021 21:43

I think Claire is a great pick for what it’s worth. Also think Rose flows better.

Don’t think you need to worry about initials as you don’t really include your middle name day to day for anybody to notice it spells a word.

PrivateParty · 10/01/2021 21:52

Unless your work includes having to sign your initials all the time. If there's other people the other same 2 initials, middle name initials come into it. We have a couple of funny ones in work..
MercyBodle · 10/01/2021 22:21

Claire is lovely. I would choose Elise for the better initials and I think it sounds a little better.

JohnBarron · 10/01/2021 22:25

Elise, it’s lovely. Rose is boring, every girl has Rose as a middle name right now. Also too many R’s in all the names. Elise flows better.

Firebird83 · 10/01/2021 22:30

Elise. Rose is overused as a middle name.

alexdgr8 · 10/01/2021 22:33

Rose

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 10/01/2021 23:46

I agree with others about the name Claire. I think Clara is much nicer, Clara Elise Rose flows well.

lemonsquashie · 11/01/2021 09:28

Wow, is Claire making a comeback?

RubyFakeLips · 11/01/2021 09:45

Rose is very trite and unfortunate initials should she be overweight.

Elise is far prettier but if they are interchangeable and neither have much meaning to you, I would skip them all together. Neither combination has flow. Claire April is sufficient.

No opinions on Claire, its a perfectly good name if you like it.

Donnaj28 · 11/01/2021 10:33

@lemonsquashie i think soSmile when i went on vacation last summer i camera across 4 Claire's under the age of 7

OP posts:
YoniAndGuy · 11/01/2021 11:54

Fair enough on Claire, we're probably the wrong age group to appreciate it!

Clare is better though. MUCH better.

Jane would be SO much better than June, too. Just so much more class. I get you want the April - June thing, but it's interesting for about 1 second then seems naff and they are both slightly rubbish lightweight names.

Clare April Elise if you must, Clare Rosemary/Rosamund Elise better
Jane Melody Maureen, Jane Melissa Maureen, Jane Miranda Maureen - if you must have Maureen, having another M in the middle makes it sound much more interesting and flows really well?

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 11/01/2021 12:17

It seems odd to me to choose the name Claire when you met so many 'Claire's' on your recent holiday.

Doesn't that tell you that your DD could be lost in a sea of Claire's when she starts school?
