Zayda & Xander??

I recently met a Zayda and came to learn that her brother is Xander? They don't seem phased by it but I personally think they are far too similar as sibling names. Thoughts??

(This really made me reconsider my top two baby names Elodie & Emery that I now can admit, are too similar)

I agree. I know a Jodie and a Joe and a Lilly and Lydia which I think sounds odd for siblings.

I taught triplets Blaine, Blade and Blaze many years ago.

Perhaps the brother was really Alexander.

I know a Lauren and Laura, a Poppy and Polly, and a Jay and Jake. All very similar to my ears.

Far too similar, in my opinion.

I was at school with twins named Kristy and Kirsty.

I know of a Henry and Harriet 😄 basically the same name given Harriet is derived from Henrietta, and Harry is short for Henry. I am always amazed by the amount of people who are amazed by this!
