Any views on the names Nicole, Lorna or Stella?

My DP also likes Sophia, but since it is so popular I am not sure in case she will be one of five in her class!

Love Nicole. Not keen on the others.

70/80’s names
Sophia is nice

I think they're all lovely. I especially like Lorna, it's really sweet.

Chilldonaldchill · 08/01/2021 23:22

Stella is lovely.
I feel as though I ought to like Lorna (I lived Lorna Doone as a child) but I don't.
I do really like Luna and Lara.
I dislike Nicole. It feels very 80s/early 90s.

people being really rude about lorna I have a hyphenated name with lorna being one of them and Im only in my early 20's it isn't a middle aged name awful people

I'm probably middle aged and I have only met one Lorna of about my age. I know a few women called Lona, not sure if it's the welsh version, but Lorna in Wales and Scotland has a rolled r.

I think Lorna (pronounced Lawna) is nice.

I met a toddler Lorna at the park recently and thought it was adorable! We are near London.

Nicole isn't to my taste and feels a bit 80s to me.

Stella I'm not keen on. By weird coincidence, I know three sets of parents who chose this name, and all of them are arseholes. It's really weird and it has sort of put me off the name!

Nicole is the only one I can imagine as a little girl. Lorna is a late 30s/40s woman's name. Stella is an older woman again.

I like all 3 names OP, I think you have good taste!
