Looking for unusual boys names. I love Ralph/Ralphie but not many on here seem keen on that name.

Ralph is a wonderful name but certainly not unusual! It's vvvvv.popular now.

Rafe? Rudyard?

What about something that everybody has heard of but nobody uses any more like Roger or Harold.

Ralph is in or approaching the top 100 boy names

If you want anything unusual I would look outside the top 150 names. Get a list of the official ons top 150 names and avoid all of them

I like Ralf not Ralph.

Unusual/less common names that don't sound dated or old fashioned imo:
Ivo, Jago, Maxim, Zev, Orion, Lev/Liev, Xavier, Macsen, Magnus, Elias, Asa, Rufus, Caspian.

Some alternatives if you're not completely sold on Ralphie; Ronnie, Reggie, Raffy (Rafferty) or Ricky

Please can everyone stop naming their baby boys things that end in -ie or -y, these are twee nicknames 😩 those poor grown men whose name will sound like someone cooing over a baby!

I like Ralph when it’s pronounced Rafe.

I love Ralph. And naming your baby by what majority on MN likes is a hard way to go!
Unusual but not traditional is very hard to come up with... (Ralph is traditional) Everything I can think of that is not traditional is fairly natury - ie Ocean, Forest, Ford.

It is my most hated boys name I have to say... Rafe, Rufus, Raphael??

I don’t think I explained properly, I like that name but otherwise are there any unusual names people recommend I don’t like the traditional top boys names
