What is your favourite shortened form of Elizabeth? It’s our favourite name for a girl and DH really likes Ella for short, but we also have a Samuel who we call Sam. We can’t have a “Sam ‘n’ Ella” can we?

My Elizabeth is usually Lizzie. Her brother calls her Liz-Beth. She also gets Betty/Bessie and Queen Bee off various family members.

Busy.

Lilly, liz, Lizzy, Liza/lisa/ Lilybet., Bet, betty, beth, Libby, Elsie, Elisa, Aliza, Bessy, Bess.

Eliza, followed by Lizzy, Bess and Libby

Elsie and Bess. But Bessie is a cow's name. Nowt wrong with cows, but wouldn't choose it in a hurry.

Betty, Betsy, Beth, Lizzie, Liz - all Elizabeths that I work with. Range of ages but the youngest two (early 20s) are Liz and Betty.

Lizzy, Bess, Eliza and Elsie are favourites. I've also come across Tess, Tiggy, Effy and Zippy for Elizabeth, all of which I like if you're game.
