Getting a bit ahead of myself here as I've not even had my 12 week scan but here goes:

Boys names:

Louis
Ethan
Cole
Jason
Owen

Girls names:

Alba
Anya
Scarlett
Fern
Pippa
Nina

Not many of my friends or family have young kids so I've also NO idea if any are trendy at the moment, not sure if that would put me off anyway!

Louis - LOVE
Ethan - like
Cole - not my style but i really love it anyway
Jason - seems outdated
Owen - Don't really like but don't hate either

Girls names:

Alba - LOVE
Anya - LOVE
Scarlett - LOVE
Fern - LOVE
Pippa - unusable for me, only because i am an expat and it means 'blowjob' in a couple of other languages
Nina - LOVE

Owen is my favourite of your boys names. Love your girls list, Scarlett and Fern are my favourites. I’d take Pippa off the list though as pp poster said apparently it has very rude meanings in numerous languages, shame really.

Love Louis and Ethan. Cole sounds like a surname to me because I think of Andy Cole.
Jason I think is dated. Owen is ok, I quite like it. I don’t see it as dated but not commonly used in England for a while I don’t think.

Of your girls names I love Fern. Next favourite is Nina. Not so keen on the others but personal preference really rather than anything in particular.

Owen and Nina

I like Ethan the best from your boy list. I like Anya and Nina best for a girl. I don't think any of them are massively popular, with the exception of Louis perhaps as I've heard that a few times. I also bizarrely know of two babies named Pippa born over the last few months but I think that's coincidence rather than the name being really common (unless it's had a recent surge in popularity).

Boys name - Louis only
Girls name - live them all but would choose Phillipa with Pippa as a pet name

Nina to me sounds like an ambulance or fire engine sound you teach to small children

3.Ethan - okay, a bit popular/trendy
2.Cole - nicet, but more of a nn for me (for Nicholas)
5.Jason - no, sounds very 80's despite it's classical origins
1.Owen - lovely, an underused classic

2.Anya - great but I prefer as a nn for Anna personally
6.Scarlett - no, has a a bit of a tacky image for me

5.Pippa - much too nickname (for Philippa)

I'd chose Nina and Owen (would make a great sibset!)- they're not overused but are well known names, suit all ages, with a nice sound and easy to say and spell (for both kids and adults)

I don't like Louis or Fern as they seem very wet names to me, Louis is particularly awful like Cyril. The others are nice though, Alba is very pretty.

Ethan - it's ok, I'm not a big fan but I don't dislike it
Cole - don't like at all
Jason - really don't like. Very 70s
Owen - it's ok. I much prefer Ewan / Euan

Alba - it's ok, I know a few under the age of 3
Anya - I really like this
Scarlett - it's ok
Fern - it's ok
Pippa - it's ok
Nina - like this

With regard to Owen, do you have any Scottish or Irish in the family? You could use Eoghan or Eoin instead.
