Emily or Alice?

Any thoughts on either of these? Middle name would be Freda. And before the boards say they're both too popular, I don't give a fig about that 😊

Also love Charlotte but it doesn't go with our surname.

Is Emily really fusty?

Given that it's the 11th most popular name in England and Wales, I'd say that it wasn't fusty.

Emily isn't fusty but it was enormously popular at the turn of the century and there are a lot of twenty-something Emilys around, so an Emily born today will encounter a lot of her namesakes when she enters the workplace. I was given a 60s/70s name in the early 80s and this has very much been my experience.

In my DS' class/ year of about 50 kids in elementary school there were seven of them, though one spelled her name Emilie. He is 27 now.

'He' refers to DS, not Emilie

Hmm I'm all confused now! Was leaning towards Emily but now towards Alice!

I hadn't considered an a Emily being surrounded by 50 and 60 year old Emilys when she enters the workplace...

Any other suggestions at all?
