What do you think of Anushka?
How would you spell it, Anoushka or Anushka?
Could Annie be used as a NN?

I love it. It's a name that is recognised here but also Indian and it feels very current. Lovely pick. Annie as a nn is cute but I wouldn't use it because it's such a beautiful name as a whole.

wanderlove · 03/01/2021 10:18

Ps I like the spelling with the o

Plussizejumpsuit · 03/01/2021 10:21

Love it. We have the name in our family (Indian relatives) and she is called noosh as a nn.

Lovely name and I'm sure Annie would work. I prefer Anoushka spelling

GymSloth · 03/01/2021 10:42

I think it's a beautiful name! Love Annie too.

PattyPan · 03/01/2021 10:44

I think it’s a lovely name! I’d probably go with the Anoushka spelling.

SmeleanorSmellstrop · 03/01/2021 11:16

I love it and considered it but with the 'o' spelling as i didn't like it having the word 'anus' in it without the o Grin

Of course Annie could be a nn! I think it is the most natural nn actually

Thank you so much everyone! Happy to see such positive responses!

Yes lovely

I think the o spelling is nice and the most usual one?

nn Annie is cute!

Tropicalsun56 · 03/01/2021 15:51

I also think it’s lovely and Annie would work well!
Prefer it with the O too

Luckyelephant1 · 06/01/2021 16:13

Yes I love it, only reason it's not on my shortlist is that I know someone with that name who I really dislike 🙄

Defo the spelling with an 'o'. Nicknames could be Annie, Anu (quite Indian sounding) or Nush x
