Really love this name for a little boy!

Just wondering thoughts? I already know it’s popular

DH’s friends sister has a son called Noah and DH also has a 2nd cousin with a son called Noah so there’s 2 off the top of my head

We just really love the name! Anyone got an older boy called Noah? Or a little oneSmile

I love it

My boy is called Noah, he’s nearly 16 and it wasn’t a popular name at the time so he’s the only kid in his secondary school by that name! Now it’s very popular - still love it though and it suits his personality.

It must be rare to meet a adult Noah - twenty or thirty years ago he would likely have got "wheres your Ark?" type comments from other kids, but it's so trendy now that it's become very useable. If you don't mind the popularity or that it will likely date, you should use it OP - it's a nice sounding name. If you are worried about popularity than similar Ezra isn't quite as common yet, and Asa is currently much less well-used.

If you love it, go for it. There's no better way to choose a name.

Personally, I really dislike it. I think it sounds weak and whiny and it's high up in my top ten of names I wouldn't call my child.

But you love it, so go for it. Don't look for validation on here and pay no heed to internet randoms like me.

I like it.
I like short 2 syllable names apparently haha.

I’m not keen. I know two adult Noahs- both are in their early 20s, so it seem really dated to me. I think Old Testament boys’ names have been on the way out for some time.

I can't stand the name Noah. So weak and ineffectual, like a lame gust of wind down a long pipe.

PrivateParty · 02/01/2021 11:28

That's two people said weak. Where does that come from?

emmie841 · 02/01/2021 12:23

Noah is a strong, handsome name. Suits a little boy or a grown man. I think of Noah Wyle or Noah from the Notebook. I love it.

I think it’s the sound- like a whiny toddler refusing to do something- nooooo-wuh.

I love it! It’s on my shortlist for if we have a boy.

ASimpleLobsterHat · 02/01/2021 13:52

I have a Noah (8) and love the name - it totally suits DS. It’s popular but I haven’t met loads and mine is the only one in his class at the moment. Not that I think that is too important- I was once one of 5 with my name in middle school - can’t say it particularly bothered me - I liked my name and still do.
