Guessing game V!

Merry twixmas! Xmas Grin

We have reached thread 5(!) of the baby names Guessing Game.

This was the (brilliant) brain child of @scotstar back in March 2018. Smile

All are welcome, rules of this game are pretty straightforward - someone describes a name. Whoever solves the clues is then in charge of describing the next name. Simple! Make the clues as fiendish or straightforward as you like. Grin

Haha, yes, too easy obviously!

"I'm just mad about Saffron" references Donovan's "Mellow Yellow".

"Fabulous" is Absolutely Fabulous, Saffron/Saffy Monsoon.

Spicy - saffron is a yellow spice

Back to you @Ellmau !

Queen of hearts. Lady of the moon. A bright young thing. Made poor marriage choices.

ThatshallotBaby · 29/04/2022 06:27

Diana?

Ellmau · 03/05/2022 22:28

Yes!

Diana Princess of Wales said she wanted to be queen in people's hearts; Roman goddess of teh moon; Diana Mitford/Mosley was a Bright Young Thing in the 20s, and poor marriage choices might relate to either her or the Princess.

finallychangedmyusername · 04/05/2022 15:57

Well played @ThatshallotBaby and over to you!

ThatshallotBaby · 05/05/2022 09:10

OP posts:
ThatshallotBaby · 12/05/2022 06:40

She is very kind

finallychangedmyusername · 12/05/2022 09:56

Yes!!!
Brilliant

finallychangedmyusername · 12/05/2022 22:18

Thanks @ThatshallotBaby!

Here's another:

Will this lady attired in a quinessentially English-style, give you some time, perhaps to narrate a tale of a meadow and small home?

OP posts:
ThatshallotBaby · 13/05/2022 06:40

Beatrice?

ThatshallotBaby · 13/05/2022 06:40

Sorry Beatrix?

finallychangedmyusername · 13/05/2022 10:34

Neither Beatrice nor Beatrix, sorry.

OP posts:
ThatshallotBaby · 13/05/2022 11:19

Ok I’ll think some more

ThatshallotBaby · 13/05/2022 14:31

Frances?

Ellmau · 13/05/2022 19:44

Laura?

finallychangedmyusername · 13/05/2022 20:07

@Ellmau has it, Laura!

Laura Ashley is the shop where one could be attired in a quinessentially English style.
'Laura' by the Scissor Sisters begins with the line, 'Laura, why don't you give me some time?....'
And finally Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote Little House on the Prairie (the meadow and small home).

This poor girl has a classic/international name with several variants.
