Guessing game V!

Merry twixmas! Xmas Grin

We have reached thread 5(!) of the baby names Guessing Game.

This was the (brilliant) brain child of @scotstar back in March 2018. Smile

All are welcome, rules of this game are pretty straightforward - someone describes a name. Whoever solves the clues is then in charge of describing the next name. Simple! Make the clues as fiendish or straightforward as you like. Grin

It was Very Hard!

Will think of a new name soon.

Ellmau · 21/12/2021 18:50

A man could lose his head over this sexy dancer.

Ellmau · 28/12/2021 19:23

Her name could be shortened to form a less glamorous female relative,

finallychangedmyusername · 28/12/2021 21:03

Cissy/Sissy?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 28/12/2021 23:23

No.

finallychangedmyusername · 29/12/2021 10:36

I don't think I'm right, but I keep coming back to Nicolette or Nikita?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 29/12/2021 11:32

No.

Maybe a faint Agricultural vibe?

finallychangedmyusername · 29/12/2021 12:38

Nancy?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 29/12/2021 20:39

No.

Ellmau · 02/01/2022 16:19

She’s had an operA and a play about her, and appears in a bestselling Book, but not likely to get a Disney makeover.

Ellmau · 05/01/2022 18:37

She is infamous rather than famous.

finallychangedmyusername · 05/01/2022 23:07

I keep coming back to either Carmen or Electra!

OP posts:
Ellmau · 06/01/2022 00:08

No. Think a more religious background, although she isn't.

finallychangedmyusername · 06/01/2022 13:23

Tatiana/Tatyna?

OP posts:
Ellmau · 06/01/2022 13:35

No. Older.

DuggeeHugs · 06/01/2022 18:16

Is it Manon/Manny?

DuggeeHugs · 06/01/2022 18:18

Oh, hang on, what about Salome/Sal?

Ellmau · 06/01/2022 20:50

You've got it. @DuggeeHugs! It's Salome!

Famous (or infamous) for getting John the Baptist's head cut off after she danced for Herod. Shortened to Sally - Aunt Sally.

Opera is based on Oscar Wilde's play. And Book was a clue to the Bible.

Now your turn to pick a name!

Ellmau · 06/01/2022 20:50

Oh, agricultural was a pun on loamy. Bad, I know.

finallychangedmyusername · 06/01/2022 21:48

Ah, well played @DuggeeHugs and nice clues @Ellmau, that was a toughie!

OP posts:
DuggeeHugs · 07/01/2022 16:32

That was great @Ellmau and I definitely didn't get the loam clue!

OK, here's an attempt:

The reflection of this belle is wondrous indeed.

Ellmau · 10/01/2022 00:53

Mirabel/Mirabelle?

DuggeeHugs · 10/01/2022 14:00

Yes @Ellmau 🙂 - the name means 'wondrous' but also sounds like bells and mirrors to me

Ellmau · 10/01/2022 18:04

He's dancing to keep from being absolutely frozen.

finallychangedmyusername · 10/01/2022 21:35

Olaf?
