Alice or Felicity?

Just that really :)

With our baby girl due in a few weeks, we finally narrowed it down to these two names.

Love them both, they both go with our one syllable surname.

What’s your favourite? Can’t decide AT ALL!

Any real life Alice or Felicity is welcome as well, do you like your name?

I was going to have Felicity Alice had ds2 been dd3, so Felicity would be my vote. Although both are love names Alice is fairly popular at the moment.

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 24/12/2020 09:20

I love Felicity. I am seeing it mentioned quite a bit atm though so may be about to become more popular

partyatthepalace · 24/12/2020 09:26

Like both - but Felicity Ross packs more punch than Alice Ross, so I'd go for that (also I had a fantastic aunt Felicity!)

Brunt0n · 24/12/2020 09:33

I have a Felicity. Never had anything other than great feedback on her name (apart from one relative who initially said it was too posh 😂)
Alice is lovely too, a bit more common if that bothers you and there are LOADS of A names I find, I know so many baby girls with A names, where as you don’t get many ‘F’s which I think make it feel a bit more unusual :)

Congratulations

LaLaLouella · 24/12/2020 09:34

Both lovely- Felicity is a bit more unusual so I think that edges it for me (just!)

QuantumJump · 24/12/2020 09:35

I like both, but I think Felicity is more likely to end up with an unusual nickname (eg Fliss, Flick). So if you love or hate the thought of that, it may help you make your decision?

Wackadoo · 24/12/2020 09:36

With your surname, Felicity sounds better. Both beautiful names :)

Twinkie01 · 24/12/2020 09:37

Do you like Ali or Flic/Fliss as a nickname! As that's what they end up being called or the two o know are.

Chilldonaldchill · 24/12/2020 09:38

I like them both but I LOVE Felicity.

Sojo88 · 24/12/2020 09:42

Felicity

emmathedilemma · 24/12/2020 09:54

Alice

LilyRose89 · 24/12/2020 10:42

Thanks all for your answers! Is it a thing that all Felicities end up with a nickname like Fliss or Flick? I like Lissy but not super fond of the others, so it might be good for thought.

Love Lissy as a nickname for Felicity.

unmarkedbythat · 24/12/2020 10:46

Felicity and I'd almost certainly end up calling her Flic.

Sixtonskip · 24/12/2020 10:47

I prefer Alice but think Felicity goes better with your surname. Also love Lissy as a nickname.

Gemma888 · 24/12/2020 10:55

Alice

tortiecat · 24/12/2020 10:57

FelicitySmile

YakkityYakYakYak · 24/12/2020 10:58

I prefer the name Alice, but Felicity works really well with your surname.

YakkityYakYakYak · 24/12/2020 10:58

I know a Felicity who goes by Fe as a nickname, which I think is quite nice.

youvegottenminuteslynn · 24/12/2020 11:35

Lovely names! Both girls called Felicity at my school were nicknamed Flic. I would have assumed Fliss but not the case in my experience at least.

Alice is lovely too and I have a soft spot for Lissy as a nickname for it as although it's not even a shortening, one of the loveliest girls I ever knew used it!

MercyBodle · 24/12/2020 11:46

Both lovely names but I prefer Felicity with your surname. Lissy is lovely as a nickname.

Viviennemary · 24/12/2020 11:47

I much prefer Alice.
