...how is it spelled? I think it's an Irish name.

Thanks very much @Whererainfalls I would never have guessed that!

Surely not? Ultan is pronounced ULL-tn or, in Irish, ull-TAWN. Not like Ullan at all.

That said, I can't think what else it might be.

Cullen?

Firebird83 · 22/12/2020 22:55

Uilliam? Ualan?

I love the name Cuillin (after the mountains) and I think (but could be wrong!) that that is pronounced Cullan?

bridgetreilly · 23/12/2020 10:26

Ellen?

emmathedilemma · 23/12/2020 13:54

I'd say Cuillin more as Coolin but I might be wrong!

Pinkywoo · 23/12/2020 14:07

Alan with a Lancashire accent!

Octoblockswim12345678swim · 23/12/2020 18:13

@Pinkywoo I so hope this is the right answer! It made me laugh.

Potantially Eolann? Pronounced like O-lan - that said, pronunciation might vary somewhat depending on area / where you heard it.
