We’re expecting our 3rd baby. It is a little boy. I’m really struggling with names. My husband and I both tend to go for quite traditional names. On our list:

Thomas
Edward (Ted)
Louis
Elliott
Oliver

We have a Henry and a Jessie already. Any other suggestions?

TIA 😊

My all time favourite classic boy name is James (though unsure on this if it’s following Jessie).

Henry, Jessie and Jacob
Henry, Jessie and Isaac
Henry, Jessie and George
Henry, Jessie and William
Henry, Jessie and Alexander

Is Jessie a girl or a boy?

Would Daniel work?

I always think Louis works perfectly with Henry. Edward would also work well and would be my second choice. Other suggestions (that I don't think have been mentioned yet) are Michael or Philip.

Ellmau · 21/12/2020 19:25

I don't think Elliott is traditional, and it doesn't go awfully well with your existing DC.

Thanks for all your suggestions. 99% sure we’re going with Elliott.

Any suggestions for middle names? Our other son is Henry James so I can’t use James unfortunately.

Also what would Elliott get shortened to? I don’t feel the need to shorten it but I know names always do! Thank you Smile

I really like Thomas. Lovely name.

Elliott could be shortened to Eli or Lio/Leo.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 27/12/2020 10:30

Elliott is nice, on Towie it was shortened to El.

My fav traditional name for a boy is Benjamin.
Also love Louis on your original list
