Should we add this 2nd middle name?

DD is due next month. DP and I had settled on: Ella Sophia [surname].

We are now considering adding a second middle name (Leigh) to honour DP's mother and a relation of mine who is also called Leigh.

We don't want to drop Sophia and replace it with Leigh. We like Sophia for a middle name and we think Ella Leigh would get mistaken for a double barrelled first name, and we don't want DD being called "Ella-Leigh".

So, does Ella Sophia Leigh [surname] flow?

(Surname has two syllables and begins with "K")

Yes, lovely (and I think it's nice to honour family with middle names).

Yes, that combination sounds lovely!

It’s fine.

Lovely, but, I have two middle names and it can occasionally be a pain. For example, knowing what version of my name has been saved in official databases with character limits, my bank only recognises one middle initial, etc. Not a big deal but it has put me off giving my child two middle names.

It is a really lovely combination.
