So it's been confirmed baby number 1 is going to be a boy. We're so excited but we had a few girls names but nothing for a boy

I like Max but unfortunately we can't use it and my OH likes Axel which I do not like

Please can you come up with some suggestions that don't end in ey or ie

Many thanks 😊💙

Not sure on your preference but here are some suggestions:
Traditional: James, Sebastian, Thomas, Nathaniel, Oscar.

Modern: Reid, Chase, Jackson, Austin, Parker.

Nature: Rowan, Reef, Bear, Glen, River.

@FestiveStuffing For a girl we liked Robyn and Violet

I'm not sure if that helps. These are some boys names I like that my OH has ruled out 🙄

Ralph
George
Eric
Ben
Thomas

Every time I mention a name he associates it with someone he already knows and says no (he knows a lot of idiots apparently 😂)
So I guess we are looking for something not to common but nothing too crazy either

We did ponder with the name Chester for a bit

In fact, all the names i CAN think if that end in “ie” are nicknames rather than real names (eg Teddie for Edward, Jamie for James etc).

If you like Axel, how about Ansel? There’s one in my DD (age 6) class but that’s the only one I’ve ever heard of.

If you like Robyn then why not Robin for a boy? Or Rowan is a nice traditional boys name with a nature theme.
