Similar to Elsie, but with less of the IE matchy-matchy have you considered Eleanor? You could shorten it to Ellie, Elena etc. Otherwise, Florence (but be aware she'll probably be called Fifi in school like my friend was! She wanted Flo for short but it never happened)

I don't understand the craze for Elsie. Maybe Elizabeth, Elspeth or Elinor, with Elsie for short? Give your darling a proper name.
