Girls names with cute nn

I’m due in 5 weeks and the boy’s name we have picked is Miles. However, if the baby is a girl she will be nameless! I am drawn to names that end in ia and like the idea of names that can be shortened for childhood.

Two examples that I like are Celia (Cece) and India (Indie) but neither seem right. Any other suggestions would be very welcome.

I like both your suggestions though.

I've got an awesome nickname that's nothing to do with my actual name. Can't you just pick a great name and wait and see what comes naturally

Cece is the best. So posh.

WhatDoHedgehogsSay · 15/12/2020 14:47

I love India. Please not another Amelia or Olivia, the world is full of them!

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 15/12/2020 20:52

I really love the name India too, but I know some people have issues with it. Celia is gorgeous (and Shakespearean to boot!), although I must admit I think of Cece as more a nn for Cecilia.

If you like - ia names with cute nn's you might like: Annie/Anya/Nina (for Antonia ), May (for Maria or Malia), Kitty (for Katia or Claudia), Effie (for Ophelia), Tavi (for Octavia), Tali (for Thalia), Rae (for Aurelia)
