Middle name help!

We have been decided on the name Alexander for some time but as for a middle we are still undecided. My husband prefers Alexander Charles and I prefer Alexander James. Both Charles and James are family names with meaning to us. Baby will also have my surname (Swedish 3 syllables ends in “son”) as a middle and our surname is English one syllable starting with W. They’re both quite “safe” middles so either works but we just cannot decide! Which do you prefer??

Both? My ds has his df and dgf name in..

James is the filler middle name of this generation so I'd choose Charles.

Prefer Alexander James but both are lovely combination tbh. Congratulations.

I prefer James, both in general and with Alexander.

Agree that James is often used as a filler name. I’d go with Charles.

James, just a gorgeous name

Chilldonaldchill · 14/12/2020 20:58

Charles.

I like either one! Wouldn’t use both though because it would remind me a bit of James Charles. Probably would choose Charles.
