Toltson - a name we are considering for firstborn son

Hi everyone, this is my first post and I was hoping to get feedback on a name I like for my firstborn. Obviously, this is vastly different from the names you typically see on these types of forums and I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are.

I'm set on having something old-fashioned, perhaps borderline antiquated because these are the type of names I like. I think they are unique. This one I made up myself (which makes me like it even moreGrin) so I wanted to get opinions from others because I have been in deep thought about it for a while now.

This being my first born, I was thinking I may name the second-born Oltson (if its a boy)? So it would be Toltson & Oltson. This is just an idea though.

Let me know your thoughts! Smile

I know a family who have a Daya, Amaya, Taya and Soraya. Please don't do it. Let your children be individuals.

Apparently Töltsön means 'spend' in Hungarian.

And if you google Toltson, one of the first results is for a twitter account of that name with some very NSFW gay porn content.

Other than that, sounds good.

timeisnotaline · 11/12/2020 13:03

Toltson? Sounds like doltson, as in son of dolt? Sounds about right.
On the off chance this isn’t a windup, how about Toseland, tolly for short.

81Byerley · 11/12/2020 13:24

This is a joke, right?

jojomolo · 11/12/2020 13:29

The tolt is the peculiarly smooth fifth gait of native Icelandic horses. It is absolutely hilarious in real life.

Bonus, if it's a girl, simply switch to Toltsdottir.

Why would anyone report this thread. Yes it’s a joke, but it’s not offensive to anyone and some of the responses on here have giving me a right laugh.

jojomolo · 11/12/2020 15:33

It's the funsponges' world, alas. We're just living in it.

Us and Balonz.

SendHelp30 · 11/12/2020 15:35

Balonz is too popular. OP wants something yoonique

ktp100 · 11/12/2020 16:03

It does sound awfully chavvy.
