Which boy's name would you pick out of Noah and Elijah?

I'm biased as I have an Elijah.

formerbabe · 10/12/2020 17:04

Elijah but both nice

PrimeraVez · 10/12/2020 17:16

Elijah. Eli is a nice abbreviation and Noah is so overused!

AnyaMoondial · 10/12/2020 17:35

Noah

pontiouspilates · 10/12/2020 17:46

Soooo many Noahs! Elijah for me..love Eli as nn

Firebird83 · 10/12/2020 18:03

Elijah. Noah is overused.

sunkiss · 10/12/2020 18:06

Love both but prefer Elijah!

ttigerlilly · 10/12/2020 18:08

Noah is my nephew and Elijah is my good friends son.

I like both Smile

NEE1302 · 10/12/2020 18:10

My nephew is Elijah so I'm biased. He has a brother named Jonah which I love even more.

drumst1ck · 10/12/2020 23:11

Looks like Elijah is the favourite here!

Elijah.

I'm not that keen on it (though I don't mind Eli) but I'd choose it because I cannot stand Noah. It's got such a whiny sound to it.

Alotlikechristmas · 10/12/2020 23:14

Noah. But if its Eli as opposed to Elijah, I'd choose that over Noah.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 10/12/2020 23:44

Of the two Elijah (although I prefer the similar, but more international Elias). Noah has become so popular in the last 10/15 years that I think it's going to date more.

Misbeehived · 11/12/2020 00:17

Noah utterly strong beautiful boys name.

Misbeehived · 11/12/2020 00:18

Also don’t think it will date as it’s very classic.

DramaAlpaca · 11/12/2020 01:53

@Misbeehived

Noah utterly strong beautiful boys name.
So interesting how different people perceive names. I think it's exactly the opposite of strong. I see Noah as weak, unattractive and, as I said above, whiny. It's biblical rather than classic, and as it's so popular now it certainly will date.
MercyBodle · 11/12/2020 05:12

I don't think either is classic, both are having a big run now, and will date in a few years. You might guess that I'm not keen on either, but would choose Noah out of the two.

drumst1ck · 11/12/2020 09:58

Appreciate 'popular' names are often a bit overused but we both love these two. Swaying towards Elijah! Thanks all

I don't think biblical names really date.

ILikeStrongTea · 11/12/2020 12:49

I love both.

Pluto98691 · 11/12/2020 14:33

I also like both but I think Noah is very popular now and I prefer the sound of Elijah, plus I love the nickname Eli

PlantPotting · 11/12/2020 21:10

Both nice
Really love nickname or full name Eli too

Catwoman1985 · 11/12/2020 22:38

Love both names but especially like Elijah/ Eli

Ihateezoflora · 12/12/2020 02:54

I agree that biblical names dont date. I love both but also prefer Elijah.

I think the same! Noah is a right wet blanket to me.

Elijah is lovely. Eli is very popular with the Amish, aside from that I like it a lot.
