My children are long since named, but I'm a writer working on a book partly set in Italy, and I would hugely appreciate help with some character names if any lovely Italian or Italian-knowledgable Mumsnetters are out there and have a moment.
It is, of course, easy to think of gorgeous names, but I'm specifically looking for names for children born in 2012 and 2014, a girl and a boy. I don't want to give them what I consider to be perfect Italian names if they then turn out to be the equivalent of calling fictional British babies Brenda and Kevin or whatever. Can anyone help me with names that are popular with current Italian 6 and 8 year olds?
