We don’t know what we’re having and having trouble narrowing down our list of names. We don’t want anything too popular but not overly bothered if there happens to be two of at nursery type thing.

Boys:
Henry
Freddie
Thomas
Adam
Robbie

Girls:
Rosie
Ellie
Grace
Erin
Megan
Darcy
Robin
Georgia
Jessie

I like Henry, Thomas and Adam. Not keen on any of the girls names, sorry.

Angel2702 · 07/12/2020 16:42

Boys I like Henry (have a Henry myself), Thomas and Adam. Don’t often hear of any Adams. I love Robert but not keen on Robbie.

Girls I like Robin and Erin.

wheresmymargharita · 07/12/2020 16:53

Tbf all of these are quite popular, except perhaps Adam. Not really keen on any of the boys names but think Rosie is cute for a girl. Robin for a girl I would spell Robyn to avoid confusion.

OffredOfjune · 07/12/2020 17:03

I like Henry from the boys list. Don't really like any from the girls - they're all very overused and pretty dull now.

Spied · 07/12/2020 17:04

Thomas or Adam- I can't decide. Love them both.
Grace is my favourite from your girls' list. Classic.

Gazelda · 07/12/2020 17:07

I like Henry, Thomas and Adam from your boys list.

My favourites from your girls list are Erin, Robyn and Georgia

ThirdTimeLuckyIHope · 07/12/2020 17:34

I like Thomas and Erin 🥰

Whatsyourflava · 07/12/2020 18:02

Really lovely lists
For a girl I'd definitely spell Robyn

hardtimeuphere · 07/12/2020 18:06

I like Robin/Robyn and Georgia from girls
Thomas for boys

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 07/12/2020 18:15

I like Thomas and Adam for boys. I can't even tell you how much I hate Robbie.

For girls I like: Rosie. I don't understand the love people have for Erin, it's a very bland unpleasant sound.

Boys:
Henry - classic, classy, can’t really go wrong
Freddie - lovely although very popular and I personally prefer as a shortening not as their only name
Thomas - fine, was super popular when I was young so there were 5 Toms in every class, but guess it’s a bit less popular now
Adam - not a huge fan
Robbie - very dated, if it is a nickname for Robert guess it’s ok but Rob is more common

Girls:
Rosie - quite bland but fine
Ellie - prefer to Rosie but would prefer Eleanor with Ellie as nickname. Don’t love.
Grace - lovely but very popular
Erin - fine
Megan - not a fan, quite 90s and also now always associated with Meghan Markle
Darcy - I like it a lot
Robin - not a fan of unisex names at all, have a friend who called their daughter robin and I just can’t bring myself to like it
Georgia - probably my favourite on your list along with grace. Much more sophisticated than most of the others which are nicknamey and may not suit a 45 year old as well as a baby
Jessie - fine if a nickname for Jessica, otherwise don’t like it at all.

KittenCalledBob · 07/12/2020 18:25

My favourites from your lists are Adam and Jessie (I'd call her Jessica on the birth certificate).

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 07/12/2020 18:41

Adam is a gorgeous classic and not too overused currently (although it is more well used in parts of London if you live there?)
Thomas and Henry are equally lovely and traditional, but are quite popular at the moment.
Freddie is too trendy (although Frederick is nice) and I dislike Robbie, although it's fine as a nn for Robert.

I'm not keen on most of your girls choices as I dont like nn's as given names personally (so I think Rose/ Rosa, Eleanor/Elena and Jessica/Jessamine are nice rather than Rosie, Ellie and Jessie).
Grace is lovely (although very popular) and would be my fave of your choices. Erin would be my 2nd choice, its not as classic. Robin I prefer on a boy, but it's okay. I find Megan and Georgia a little dated, but they are also okay. Darcy is a trendy surname imo.

Boys:
Henry
Thomas
Adam

All nice.

Don't like Freddie and Robbie - they're nicknames and don't like boys names ending in ie, it's so twee.

Girls:
Rosie - dull
Ellie - incredibly dull. However, I like Eleanor.
Grace - boring
Erin - nice
Megan - not heard for a while, could be nice although will it have a resurgence due to Markle?
Darcy - it's ok, a bit chavvy?
Robin - lovely and don't be convinced into the y spelling, the i is much nicer
Georgia - nice
Jessie - sounds like a shortening for something longer but I don't mind it in principle. Jessica?
