With nickname Ted, to go with brothers Charles and Vincent (Vince). Which do people prefer? The surname is Costa. Thanks :)

Edward, no contest - it's a classic. Theodore goes in and out of fashion.

diddlediddle · 06/12/2020 19:41

Edward by miles

fancytiles · 06/12/2020 19:43

Edward

RosesAndHellebores · 06/12/2020 19:45

I like both and have a 25 year old whose nn was going to be Ted. Word of warning op - parents do not chose nn's. I never dreamt DS would be "Eddie! Never!

goldenharvest · 06/12/2020 19:53

Edward. Teddy when he is a little one.

RuthW · 06/12/2020 19:53

Edward

Dislike Theodore

August20 · 06/12/2020 19:57

I like both a lot.

KittenCalledBob · 06/12/2020 20:02

Edward- love it

scrivette · 06/12/2020 20:02

I prefer Theodore.

Lemonysherbet · 06/12/2020 20:05

They're both really nice, however I know about 4 teddy's born in the past 3 months, it's very on trend at current, just in case that puts you off

ellentree · 06/12/2020 20:07

Edward is a great name, I'd go with that.

Ted ok. Theo ok. Theodore and Teddy I really dislike.

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 06/12/2020 20:16

Edward, obviously!

MikeUniformMike · 06/12/2020 20:17

Theodore is awful.

CloudyVanilla · 06/12/2020 20:18

Theodore is gorgeous. Such a lovely little boy's name.

CloudyVanilla · 06/12/2020 20:21

I do find it a little creepy that Ted/Teddy is so popular since the last year or two, when a very popular film and documentary were released about Ted Bundy 😅😟😅

Graymare · 06/12/2020 20:26

Edward

Chilldonaldchill · 06/12/2020 20:35

Theodore.
But I like both.

windysocks · 06/12/2020 20:51

Edward timeless, classic,

BenoneBeauty · 06/12/2020 20:53

Both are lovely but Edward is much more likely to get Eddie as a nickname rather than Ted so if that's what you want, I'd go with Theodore!

seizethecuttlefish · 06/12/2020 21:15

I have an Edward and he's called Teddy all the time. I don't think we've ever called him Edward lol. He's 2.5 and I haven't met another Edward here. When he's older he can decide what name he wants to use. There are a few Theos here.

Thefaceofboe · 06/12/2020 21:33

Edward.

Brighterthansunflowers · 06/12/2020 22:47

Edward by a million miles

DramaAlpaca · 07/12/2020 00:12

Edward is so much nicer, and a stronger name all round.

CloudyVanilla · 07/12/2020 14:17

I really don't like Edward. The syllables to not gel together well to me. If you want Teddy as a nick name there are nice Ed- names.
