Any ideas of other names to add to if we like this list or any people that love/ hate the names and why?

Myles
Jesse
Gabriel
Louis
Gruff(pronounced Griff - we are in Wales)

Thanks :)

✓Love X hate. \Not sure

Myles.X
Jesse.X
Gabriel.✓. It is becoming very popular. However if popularity doesn't bother you its not a problem.
Louis✓
Gruff\ will always be pronounced Gruff. Why not just spell it Griff.

Other ideas
Dylan.
Elijah
Casper
Milo
Lucas

Gruff would be my choice (can't imagine it ever being said wrong in Wales - regardless of where you are in the country)

I like Miles but not with a y
The others are okay, Jesse I like the most out of the rest

Rhys
Lloyd
Milo
Silas

I think we have fairly similar taste.

Myles - top of my list, but spelt with an 'I' instead
Jesse - nope
Gabriel - too religious for me, and dislike Gabe as a nn
Louis - like, same with Lewis
Gruff - really like, though I'd probably opt for Gruffydd or Griffin

I also like -

Ioan
Iolo
Fraser
Rowan
Finley / Finn
Dylan
Joel
Saul
Seth
Emyr
Emrys
Gwyn
Aneurin
Jack
George
Niall

Myles - Miles is miles better
Jesse - you big jessie
Gabriel - too OT
Louis - ok, but wouldn't be on my shortlist
Gruff - Griff is a better spelling

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 06/12/2020 18:01

Gabriel is quite nice (I also like the similar sounding Samuel and Michael).
Louis is okay but I prefer the sound of Lucas or Henry.
I also prefer Griffin over Gruff.
Not keen on your other choices, but I love the Welsh boys names Macsen, Ioan, Iolo and Emrys.

HeadPain · 06/12/2020 18:56

Myles - prefer Miles
Jesse - Like it a lot, don't know if a boy would get picked on in the UK though, maybe in Wales they wouldn't get picked on, it seems used more for a boy there.
Gabriel - Like, and with nickname Gabe
Louis - Like, but probably used a lot, don't know if you mind that, I wouldn't mind
Gruff(pronounced Griff - we are in Wales) - can't comment because I'm not Welsh.

bitofcoin · 06/12/2020 19:00

I really like Jesse :)

Lisa78Lemon · 06/12/2020 19:04

I like your name taste! I like Gruff but would rather Gryff (but I'm not Welsh). I love Gabriel but my DH has vetoed.

Pluto986 · 06/12/2020 20:41

We have similar taste OP!

Myles - love, prefer spelt Miles though
Jesse - like but I’m not sure if use it
Gabriel - love but don’t like the nickname Gabe
Louis - Love
Gruff(pronounced Griff - we are in Wales) - never heard this before but quite like it

Other names I like that you might like

Rafael
Elijah
Robin
Rowan
Seth
Caspar
Felix
Milo

@Lisa78Lemon, Gryff would be pronounced 'gruff' in Welsh. The names Griff/Gruff/Gruffydd are popular, so it would seem odd.
