Rosie - I think of Rosy as an adjective rather than a name, rosy cheeks.

Whatsyourflava · 04/12/2020 21:36

Rosie

SendHelp30 · 04/12/2020 21:37

Rosie. As a pp above, rosy would refer to rosy cheeks. It also has the try hard look of trying to be different and the child will probably spend their entire life correcting people of the spelling.
Rosie is a beautiful name

Rosie. As PP said, I also see 'rosy' as an adjective not a name.

Porridgeoat · 04/12/2020 21:42

Rosie.

I don't know why but if I saw Rosy I would be unsure as to how you expected it to be pronounced, like was it spelt different and said differently? Plus the correcting of spelling issue already mentioned.

HeadlessGummyBears · 04/12/2020 22:27

Rosie = noun
Rosy = adjective

Rosie to avoid a lifetime of saying "it's Rosie spelt R O S Y"...

Cheesypea · 04/12/2020 23:18

Rose. Rosie is a nickname.

My mum's dog was called Rosy and I always thought it was an odd spelling. Rosie is my preference.

BowtieBling · 04/12/2020 23:32

Rosie, to avoid a lifetime of correcting people

SirSamuelVimes · 05/12/2020 00:08

Rose, just use Rosie as a nickname.

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 05/12/2020 00:20

Rose is a beautiful, classic name and suits all ages. Rosie (spelt like this) makes a cute nickname for Rose on a little girl.

August20 · 05/12/2020 00:55

Rosie is the usual spelling but it's a nickname.

calimommy · 05/12/2020 01:00

Rose with NN Rosie. Lovely name!

ILoveYoga · 05/12/2020 02:04

Now you know, it’s Rosie. Please don’t burden your child with the incorrect spelling
