Clarabel? And Clara for short?

Much prefer Clara on its own.
Clarabel sounds a bit made up.

I like Clara a LOT better than Clarabel. Christabel is another really good alternative suggestion from a pp.

The one I know spells it Claribel

I'm not sure why but I would be tempted to pronounce this Cla-ra-bell, rather than Clara-bell.

That's exactly how Clarabel is pronounced.

It does remind me of the grumpy carriage in Thomas the Tank Engine.

As a name it's too fussy for me.

I actually really like this

I think Clara Belle would be really nice. Clara being the first name and Belle the middle.
