Love Alice and Clara
Dislike Tamsin and Philippa

Spied · 29/11/2020 12:25

Love Alice and Anna. Timeless and classic.
Also like Clara.

Mess6 · 29/11/2020 12:26

My favourites from your list are Harriet, Alice and Felicity. I don't like Philippa, Lorna or Tamsin. The rest are nice

Sunbird24 · 29/11/2020 12:28

I think there are a lot of Isabelle/Isabella/Isobel names at the moment so would probably drop that one

BucksFizzForBreakfast · 29/11/2020 12:29

I love Beth, Felicity, and Isabelle.
I don't mind Clara.
The rest I'm not keen on (especially Lorna and Phillipa - makes me think of my friends' mums' names when I was a child!).

Jattjewd · 29/11/2020 12:30

I don't dislike any of them! But if I had to put them in order of preference:

Anna
Annie
Clara
Lorna
Harriet
Tamsin
Alice
Beth
Isabelle
Philippa
Felicity

A nice list, Alice, Harriet and Clara are lovely. Dislike Lorna, Philippa and Tamsin. Tamsin will possibly be shortened to Tammy, which has a different vibe to the rest of your list.

Ginandplatonic · 29/11/2020 12:32

I don’t like Lorna or Tamsin, and Isabelle is very popular, so I would remove those.
I like all the others. Favourites are Clara, Harriet and Philippa but they are all nice.

Shayisgreat · 29/11/2020 12:32

I like Lorna, Annie, Anna, and Isabelle best. Lorna is my favourite.

I don't like Felicity, Harriet, or Tamsin. But they're certainly not terrible.

The rest are all quite nice. I don't think you can go too far wrong with any of these names!

NoSquirrels · 29/11/2020 12:35

Tamsin - like
Lorna - hate
Beth - love (but would go Bethan)
Philippa - dislike
Annie - love (but Anne and use Annie as nn)
Felicity - never decide if I love or loathe)
Clara - like
Anna - love
Harriet - hate
Isabelle - no
Alice - dislike

Peachbubble · 29/11/2020 12:44

Tamsin - like
Lorna - really like
Beth - don't like
Philippa - don't like
Annie - don't like
Felicity - like
Clara - like
Anna - quite like
Harriet - like
Isabelle - don't like
Alice - like

HarryLimeFoxtrot · 29/11/2020 12:55

Tamsin - I’d avoid this as it tends to get misspelled/mispronounced as Tasmin. I like Tara which has a similar vibe
Lorna - like it
Beth - probably not with a one syllable surname as I think it would sound a bit abrupt
Philippa - I like it. Are you OK with Pip/Pippa as shortened versions? (Avoid if your DD is likely to be short as this tends to lead to Pipsqueak as a NN which is horrible)
Annie - ok, not my taste but nothing wrong with it.
Felicity - like it
Clara - like it (although personally I prefer Clare/Claire)
Anna - like it (popular these days due to Frozen)
Harriet - like it
Isabelle - perfectly nice, but not my taste
Alice - like it

Nell96 · 29/11/2020 13:13

Tamsin - not keen, quite girly, along the lines of Tamara, Tiffany etc.
Lorna - love - Lorna Doone
Beth - Like, nn for Welsh Bethan
Philippa - dislike
Annie - dislike, like Anya
Felicity - dislike, very horsey
Clara - ok, quite trendy
Anna - nice but a bit dull
Harriet - horsey
Isabelle - prefer Isobel / Isabel - very popular though, so wouldn't use
Alice - love

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 29/11/2020 13:27

Like.. Isabelle. Anna. Annie. Beth.
Okay. Lorna. Felicity. Alice. Harriet.
Don't like Tasman. Phillippa. Clara (assuming its Clar-ah). Clair-er is quite nice though.

CakeRattleandRoll · 29/11/2020 16:40

Love Lorna and like Tamsin and Felicity.
You need at least 2 syllables if you have a 1 syllable surname.

MikeUniformMike · 29/11/2020 19:34

Tamsin - like
Lorna - like but in some parts of the country people will roll the r, if that is an issue, how about Lona?
Beth - ok but seems a bit 1970s
Philippa - like
Annie - like
Felicity - too long. don't like
Clara - dislike
Anna - like
Harriet - like
Isabelle - overused
Alice - like it a lot

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 29/11/2020 21:46

Don't really dislike any of them, but not very keen on Annie (except as a nn for Anna) , Beth (except as a nn for Elizabeth) or Harriet (classic but sounds a bit harsh to me).

I like Lorna best (feminine and romantic sounding and underused), as well as Anna (classic, elegant and international). Isabel - spelt this less frilly way is also lovely (but popular). The others are all okay, just not particular faves of mine.

Firebird83 · 29/11/2020 21:51

Anna is my favourite.

pilates · 29/11/2020 21:52

Love Harriet and Clara
Dislike Tamsin and Philippa

AdaColeman · 29/11/2020 22:06

Favourites
Lorna Philippa Clara Felicity Alice Anna
Philippa would be my first choice, as it's lovely, but rarely used these days.

Not so favourites
Tamsin Beth Annie Harriet Isabelle.
Beth and Annie are more like nicknames to me.

DramaAlpaca · 30/11/2020 02:12

Oh my, a list I actually like Grin

Apart from Beth, which needs to be a diminutive of Elizabeth. And I prefer a simpler spelling of Isabelle.

Love the rest. My favourites are probably Tamsin, Alice & Anna, but as I say I like them all.

Bruce2 · 30/11/2020 06:03

The last 5 are beautiful

Favourites are Harriet Clara & Anna

VenusClapTrap · 30/11/2020 08:43

I like Lorna, Philippa, Anna and Harriet.
Annie, Felicity, Clara and Alice are ok.
Not keen on the rest although none are awful.

Curlylocks5 · 30/11/2020 10:55

Adore Harriet

emilybrontescorsett · 30/11/2020 21:40

My favourites are Isabelle, Clara, Felicity, Anna.
