Sibling name.... little brother to Sebastian

Hello all!

I wonder if you could all help a little,
After a boy sibling name for Sebastian.

I really like Rueben but think it sounds a bit predictable for a sibling name to Sebastian.

So trying to think outside the box! Still something traditional and strong but more unique.

Julius
Quinton
Quillan

I like Alexander but hubby not into it or Felix!

Any of the above you prefer with Sebastian?

How do you pronounce Quillan? All I can come up with is "kill-an".

So is Theodorus

Quinton is a suburb of Birmingham - it is kind of middle class dull suburbia so no bad associations and somewhat aspirational coming from say Ladywood

Maybe you would also like:

Rubius (as in Hagrid from Harry Potter)
Rubik (yes it's that cube puzzle but it's a perfectly reasonable name)
Quercus (means oak, and feels stronger to me than Quillan, unless you have a Quillan in your family already)

I dont think Sebastian is very posh so you could get away with a few of the boys names here. Miles sounds good.

Lots of nice names suggested. If you're not too keen on Quentin,
what about Quintus, which is Latin for 'fifth' (the same meaning as Quentin) and was a well-known Roman name?

However I like Julian and Quentin much more as names. I also like Dominic.

Seb and Quinn are great nicknames together!

Benjamin popped into my head along with Sebastian.

I automatically thought Felix. Do you shorten his name to Seb? I think I'd you do Seb and Lawrence is nice (Seb and Laurie)

Yes I do but husband still tends to call him
Sebastian.
I really like Quinn and Reu as nicknames alongside Seb which is why I tended to lean towards them. We also liked Gabriel, and I don’t mind Gabe. Thanks for all the suggestions 🥰 I’m not so keen on Quentin as I don’t like the quen sound, I prefer Quin, baby not due until March so a little while yet to decide xx

Sebastian was our boy choice (we had a girl though). Alexander is lovely and would have been on our list if it weren’t for knowing lots of Alexanders already. We also considered Caspar, Atticus and Dominic. I would have used Gabriel but couldn’t convince DH who felt it was a lot of name to live up to!
