Just want to make sure I'm not missing some drastic association, it means 'cedar tree', which is lovely. Middle name suggestions?

Like

Eh ( as in elephant) Rez (to rhyme with fez) ?

I like it! It is reminding me of something though.....?

It’s a homophone for ‘eres’, which means ‘you are’ in Spanish. Maybe just check that your surname doesn’t resemble anything in Spanish...

@Atalune That's it! Not sure what it reminds you of though.

I think it's quite Jewish.. I'm reading about religions at the moment and Erez Israel crops up...

Marylou62 · 17/11/2020 12:23

Ran up to get the book... Erez Israel means land of Israel and the name of a kibbutz...

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 17/11/2020 12:25

My Spanish is rusty but if your surname were, for example, 'Mason', the name 'Erez Mason' would be a very near homophone for the Spanish sentence meaning 'you are a table'.

I appreciate that this might be a niche concern Grin.

The spanish thing doesn't worry me, but I hope it isn't too religious, I just love 'E''s and 'Z''s but they seem popular in Jewish names..

It’s nice, similar to Ezra which is gaining popularity at the moment so it won’t be totally unfamiliar to people

I think it sounds like Errors if you're not careful!
