I'm curious to see the opinions of this name here. I think it's going to be more divisive than some of the other more traditional names we have on our list, but I still really like it.

Evangeline is still -leen not -line in a British accent. Madeline is usually -lin isn't it, not Mad-uh-line to rhyme with mine?

I'd honestly stick with Lorelai, which most people will recognise or if you want something less traditional, then go for something really different.

'Different' names which sound almost identical to traditional names, I imagine are a bit of a pain in the bum for the owner of that name, as they're forever correcting people?

"Your name is Lorelai?" "No, loreliNe with an n".

There is also Laurel, Laura, Lauren.

I really like the suggestion Adeline too.

I think it's rather pretty. I would pronounce it -een, OP.
