Lucas???

What are your opinions please??

Lucas is lovely - a modern classic (compared to Luke, which is a more traditional classic and so much less popular at the moment). I personally prefer the sound of Lucas over Luke (and Lucas is more internationally used too) but beware there may be more than one in his class.

Both are much nicer than Luke in my opinion.

I love Lucas. The fact that it was the name of a player for the football club I support has nothing to do with my admiration for the name, oh no.

I thought I was the only one who remembered American Gothic! I didn't mention it though, because Lucas is so widely used as a name most people won't make that association (plus I found Lucas Buck kinda sexy despite his evil ways so it's a good association for me )

I like it and had it on my list, but there's one in my teen DS's year at school who gets called Mucus :(

I'm not keen on it but can't really put my finger on why. I think it's the kind of name that would grow on me over time though.

Not my favourite name. Like a pp, I don't really know why though... I think it's not really my era. A bit 90s maybe? That is my era though, so not sure what I'm on about here .

It's perfectly fine and unremarkable I think, so there is definitely nothing wrong with it. If I met one I'd think nothing much of it.

I really don't like it, there was a boy at my sons school (few years older) who was nicknamed "Lucas Mucus"

I prefer Luke to Lucas and Lucas to Luca. Really not a fan of Luca.
