I really like the name Katie for my dd due January. I think it's a classic name but not too popular nowadays. Thoughts?

If Catherine or Katherine, yay

FluffyEggsontoast · 09/11/2020 10:04

It'll be seen as a mum's name to the next generation but it's nice

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 09/11/2020 10:06

It’s one of those names that I neither love nor hate. Go for it if you like it.

emmathedilemma · 09/11/2020 10:19

yay

MarshaBradyo · 09/11/2020 10:21

I like it

YoniAndGuy · 09/11/2020 10:22

Full name with Katie as short form - excellent (Catherine, Katherine)

Just Katie - bit rubbish.

Enderline · 09/11/2020 10:24

I think Katie is fine on its own.

Katherine or Catherine is a classic name, she can be Katie when she's small and have the option of Kate or Katherine when an adult.

vegiburger · 09/11/2020 13:13

Yep great name

MikeUniformMike · 09/11/2020 13:18

Katie or Katherine on bc. Don't use Catherine if abbreviating to Kate because of the change of initials.

YoniAndGuy · 09/11/2020 14:16

Yes and also much more chance of Cath/Cathy. Go for Katherine - absolutely lovely and she gets the option of Kate or Katie. (Ok, there's Kath too, but you've more chance of avoiding it!)

Jessbow · 09/11/2020 14:23

Katie always seems a bit tweet, fine as a pet name.

I prefer just Kate to Katie, but preferably Kathryn

Sawyersfishbiscuits · 09/11/2020 14:36

I love it. It's my middle name and I've always wished it was my first name. I also love Kitty.
