Elizabeth is DH's favourite name but I'm hoping to name our DD Lucy with Elizabeth as a middle name. Does it flow?

I like it. Elizabeth Lucy works as well.

diddlediddle · 07/11/2020 07:44

Yes, it's lovely.

Agreed. Lucy Elizabeth is a lovely name.

It's a beautiful combination, and in fact what my DD is called! Elizabeth was my choice, as it's my Mum's name, and Lucy is suits our daughter perfectly!
It works especially well for us as we have a short one syllable surname, so for every day it's quite a short strong name, but said in full the long name in the middle balances it out.
Go for it! Smile

Flows beautifully - two syllables followed by four works really well I think. Classic name.

I’m a Lucy Elizabeth! Go for it, a name that never dates and Lucy is nicer than Elizabeth in my opinion. I like Eliza though, could you do Eliza Lucy if your DH objects to lucy?

emilybrontescorsett · 07/11/2020 08:25

Sounds great.

Great choice.

SummerHouse · 07/11/2020 13:19

Love it.

Lucy is better than Elizabeth - too much risk of her ending up as Liz.

It's much better as a middle name.
