I love it! Though personally I'd go for Astrid Willow.

Prettysparkles · 05/11/2020 00:23

Thank you. My partner loves Astrid....he would be happy to hear that!

I also thought that Astrid Willow flows better, but I guess that doesn’t matter hugely as there aren’t many occasions when you’d be saying both names out loud.

PaganOfTheGoodTimes · 05/11/2020 00:37

I love Astrid so would put that first, lovely strong name!

DownThePlath · 05/11/2020 00:38

Astrid first, definitely

AutumnalLeaves38 · 05/11/2020 04:57

Another vote for Astrid Willow!

scrivette · 05/11/2020 05:24

Astrid is a wonderful name, I would put that first (although Willow Astrid is nice).

garlictwist · 05/11/2020 06:23

I like Astrid. Willow is an animal's name.

Ladderofyears · 05/11/2020 08:23

Willow Astrid is stunning - and I prefer it that way round.

Flymetothestars · 05/11/2020 09:28

Willow Astrid is lovely
I wouldn't have Astrid as the first name as the natural shortening is Ass. Not great
Willow is beautiful

YoniAndGuy · 05/11/2020 10:03

Astrid Willow

VenusClapTrap · 05/11/2020 13:20

Both lovely names and they sound good together.

percheron67 · 05/11/2020 13:39

I love Astrid. Willow - are you expecting a child or a sapling.?

Flappingflamingo · 05/11/2020 14:32

I know a lovely Astrid who's name has never been shortened...
Love Astrid, not so keen on willow so I would go Astrid willow

Ichionidas · 05/11/2020 15:26

Astrid is such a lovely name.
Willow also, either combination would be a perfect mixture of both parents loves, I imagine.
Personally Astrid is better as a first name, but I’m sure it would make a lovely second name to Willow.

notalwaysalondoner · 05/11/2020 15:35

It's lovely. I agree Astrid is a slightly stronger, more classic name and I'd be inclined to use it first. Willow is a little more modern and may date more, but I still love it.

spiderlight · 05/11/2020 16:45

Love it - prefer Willow as the first name as well. A friend has a little Astrid who's known as Asti. I don't think anyone would dare call her 'Ass'!

CakeRattleandRoll · 05/11/2020 17:30

Lovely either way. I would also assume Asti as nn for Astrid.

Sunnydaysstillhere · 05/11/2020 17:34

What is your surname initial?
WA?
AW?

MrMeSeeks · 05/11/2020 17:36

Astrid or willow, not bother.

Flappingflamingo · 05/11/2020 17:49

Have to admit, I find Astrid such a strong wow name but willow more of a soft sweet timid sound in comparison, it's not two I'd put together personally

IamnotwhouthinkIam · 05/11/2020 20:08

Willow has always been one of my guilty pleasure names - so soft, romantic and beautiful (the only reason I'm hesitant to use it personally is that it's quite trendy - it's shot up in popularity the last 10/15 years). Astrid, although not my fave, works really well with Willow - it's exotic and a bit strong/harsher sounding compared to Willows popularity and softness. Nice combo!

Prettysparkles · 05/11/2020 22:09

Thank you for the comments....much appreciated 😃

I love both the names but would hate the W that would inevitably creep in (Willo Wastrid). It would be nicer to have Astrid pronounced separately which is almost impossible with a vowel sound before it. So Astrid Willow flows better. Then again the shortened versions...Will is cool for a girl, Ass not so much!

MercyBodle · 06/11/2020 12:55

I like both names and like them together.
