Two days ago I gave birth to my little boy. We have no name picked out as we were told he was a girl, but I just keep coming back to the name Braven. Do you think this name is too out there?

It's ridiculous.

NationalShiteYear · 04/11/2020 21:46

My kids have put there names, but Braven is another level.

I had a list of completely ridiculous names for DC2. I'm embarrassed by them now. Give it a few days, let the hormones calm down a bit. For the love of the gods don't call them Braven.

What are your other ideas?

MikeUniformMike · 04/11/2020 21:47

It's a brave suggestion, OP.

MarinaMarinara · 04/11/2020 21:47

As in the action film/thriller thing? Off topic but not a very good film. Personally I think it is far far too out there. Also not a fan of the sound of it. Congratulations on your lovely new baby though!

DramaAlpaca · 04/11/2020 21:47

I'm not going to be as rude as the previous poster, but it's not my cup of tea.

If you like it, go for it of course, but there's something about it I don't like and I can't quite put my finger on why.

CaurnieBred · 04/11/2020 21:47

He will get called Bra or Boobs or something along those lines. Kids are cruel.

MikeUniformMike · 04/11/2020 21:48

Congratulations. How about Raven?

DramaAlpaca · 04/11/2020 21:48

Eek, I meant the first poster was rude Blush

Cross-posted with lots of you!

BlueThistles · 04/11/2020 21:48

call your child whatever you wish OP. 🌺

Changethetoner · 04/11/2020 21:49

Not Braven, it's hormones making you think that's a name...it's not.

What about Benjamin?

Anotheronetwo · 04/11/2020 21:50

Sounds like Brazen. Could you pick another name that means brave, if you like the meaning? Leo or Richard maybe?
If you like the sound, would Raven or Brayden work?

RunningFromInsanity · 04/11/2020 21:50

It’s not the worst I’ve heard tbh
‘Brave’ I would say no but ‘Braven’ sounds alright.

Veterinari · 04/11/2020 21:51

Awful

RosieCockle · 04/11/2020 21:51

Don't do it to him. He doesn't deserve it.

00100001 · 04/11/2020 21:54

Brad(ley) , bran(don) Ben(jamin), brodie.

Meepmeeep · 04/11/2020 21:55

Is it even a name? Poor child will be mocked for that name.

AriesTheRam · 04/11/2020 21:57

Brayden?

Figgygal · 04/11/2020 22:00

It’s not even a word is it? Please don’t

helloxhristmas · 04/11/2020 22:15

I'm hoping it's hormones. Please don't.

YoniAndGuy · 04/11/2020 22:37

For god’s sake.

It’s your child, not a bloody character you’ve created in some fantasy game.

Totally ridiculous. And he will be the one who looks ridiculous- not you.

Itsokthanks · 04/11/2020 22:42

He's a brave'un.
Nope from me, is it even a name?

Mischance · 04/11/2020 22:43

Sorry - but that is grim. Do not saddle him with this.

FamilyOfAliens · 04/11/2020 22:46

It’s like lots of different words gone wrong, OP - sorry.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/11/2020 22:46

Sounds like a Dwarf Paladin to me, they would roll tank spec for sure.

Stinkyjellycat · 04/11/2020 22:48

Yes, it is.
