Twin Names

Thinking about names for twins (a boy and a girl!) but need opinions or suggestions.
So far we like Atticus and Audrey or Lennon and Marlowe.
Thoughts on which pair of names sounds better?? We also need middle names!

I don't like any of them.
Atticus and Audrey too matchy and Lennon and Marlowe a bit to close to Lennon and McCartney.

MikeUniformMike · 02/11/2020 19:21

too close to

SaffieSoph · 02/11/2020 19:55

I’d go for Atticus Lennon and Marlowe Audrey. I think Atticus and Marlowe are lovely together.

FridaBarfloh · 02/11/2020 19:56

Marley and Marlowe
Bailey and Barlow

FridaBarfloh · 02/11/2020 19:56

Prefer Lennon and Marlowe

MikeUniformMike · 02/11/2020 20:25

I prefer Lennon and Marlowe too because they are both modern, whereas Atticus and Audrey don't have much in common apart from the initial.

Ellmau · 02/11/2020 20:34

Atticus and Marlowe.

user1493494961 · 02/11/2020 20:52

If I had to choose then Atticus and Audrey.

Quizeerascal · 02/11/2020 21:37

I don't usually like matchy names for twins but I think that Atticus and Audrey sound quite cool together. They're not particularly matchy other than starting with the same letter but a different sound. Atticus and Audrey both go well with more traditional mns imo e.g.

Audrey Rose
Audrey Catherine
Audrey Louisa
Atticus David
Atticus Daniel
Atticus George

Having the same first initial and the same birthday and the same address can make admin tricky, especially post. Alleviated a little bit here as one would be Miss and one Mr, but it's something I always mention at the Twins Trust preparing for parenthood classes I run.

ilovepixie · 02/11/2020 21:57

Harry and Harriet

Ladderofyears · 02/11/2020 22:21

Atticus and Audrey are both great names but I'm not convinced they sound great together.
Sorry but I really dislike Lennon and Marlowe.

MercyBodle · 03/11/2020 06:11

I love both Atticus and Audrey. I'm not a big fan of twin names starting with the same letter, but otherwise it is a nice pair. I don't mind Marlowe, but like Audrey much more. I prefer Lennox over Lennon.

For middles you could use Atticus Lennon and Audrey Marlowe. Otherwise: Atticus Rafe, Atticus George, Atticus Finn, Audrey Luna, Audrey Mila, Audrey Matilda.

Trixie18 · 03/11/2020 06:55

Don't have names starting with the same letter, it's a nightmare to manage documents, appointments and letters!

Whatsyourflava · 03/11/2020 09:38

Just wanted to say I LOVE Audrey

Katgolde · 03/11/2020 10:22

Atticus George
Audrey Beatrice

diddlediddle · 03/11/2020 12:06

Audrey is nice. The others are all hateful and surnamey I'm afraid 😄 these will be real people!

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 03/11/2020 12:11

I like Audrey too, but Atticus is just too "my parents are actors".

Marlowe and Lennon aren't to my taste but there's nothing weird about them.

What else is on the list, OP?

Flappingflamingo · 03/11/2020 19:33

Love audrey

cloverbug · 04/11/2020 05:13

I love Audrey but dislike Atticus.
Lennon and Marlowe are both great names, not common but not strange either. They also go lovely together.

Copernico · 04/11/2020 05:45

As someone with a matchy name as a sibling, I wouldn’t do that to twins. We still get confused and I cringe sometimes when I tell people her name (though I like both of our names).

TheNanny23 · 04/11/2020 22:17

I really dislike Lennon and Marlowe.

Instead of the match initial could you go with more of a matching sound, length etc? So Audrey and Orson etc?

Trisolaris · 04/11/2020 22:19

Love Audrey. Dislike the others.

ClarasZoo · 04/11/2020 22:24

Luke and Leia better. Or Topsy & Tim. Or Rene & Renata...

JumperooSue · 05/11/2020 15:51

What about Lennox instead of Lennon.

Audrey is so cute, not keen on Marlowe.
