Well, there’s a huge number of names - the majority? - that fit between those two extremes. I suspect most people will be looking for the same.

Everyone will have a different opinion on which names fit that definition:

Delilah, Jax, Rose, Anavaeh

CeibaTree · 01/11/2020 17:37

I recently met a baby called Zephyr.

CeibaTree · 01/11/2020 17:39

@Cbatothinkofausername

Freya, Goddess of Love, War, Beauty, Fertility, Childbirth and Magic.
Freya was the 10th most popular girls name in 2019, so doesn't really fit the OP's not predictable or safe requirement. Lovely name though, I guess that's why it is so popular :)

Rhoda is in this instance short for Herodias (I kid you not).

Smallsteps88 · 02/11/2020 09:17

Rizky.

It’s not safe, and it’s got a Z instead of an S which makes it unpredictable.

Merrythought · 02/11/2020 09:56

The thing is, names like Sheila, Tracey, Sharon, Wendy, Sandra, Colin or Kevin were once considered a little bit unusual and slightly daring and whilst perfectly nice names are now very much of their time. You can’t win on this. All the on-trend Arlos, Huxleys and Wrens will probably get there eventually. Just pick a name that makes your heart sing when you say it and hear it, then you won’t regret it (unless it’s Balonz).
