Friends baby has arrived, no name yet, has asked for help

My friend had a beautiful baby boy a week ago. Her and her partner can't decide on a name

She loves:
Oliver
Edward

She likes:
Rupert
Peter
Harry
Alexander

He loves:
Peter
Alexander

He likes:
Oliver
Theodore

They would really like a name neither of them have thought of yet, similar to the names they like, thay they both just love instantly, I think they may have to pick a name one loves and the other likes. To complicate things they have a large blended family so lots of names already ruled out.

My friend has kept her exes surname for her other children's sake and will only change if she marries her partner, don't think she would be comfortable giving her new baby her exes surname so it will have her partners name.

Oliver Alexander

I would go with Oliver or Alexander.
Peter reminds me of Peter Sutcliffe so I would never use that.
Our of Oliver and Alexander choose the one which goes best with the surname.
So Alexander is ruled out if A surname could be made fun of.

Give him all three: Oliver Alexander Peter Surname.

Children should imo take the mother's surname
