What do you think of this surname?!

Hello!

My partner and I have two quite boring surnames - Jones and Long.

We can't really combine as Long Jones sounds like 'long johns' and also just a bit dirty. Jones Long not much better.

Any ideas and suggestions of what we can do? Mother's surname is Glass and doesn't quite work either!

Jones-Glass?

I'd just choose Jones.....neither is remarkable. We use both ours for our children but it's because mine is very nice and also, it would have died if we hadn't because none of my sisters used it.

Go with Jones?

Jones Long looks better than Long Jones, if you did choose both.

Give the baby your surname
Whichever one it is.

Jones-Long is fine.
Otherwise give baby your surname, as Bernadette said.

Thermal doesn't sound like a bad surname.

Added bonus: if anyone asked the origin of your surname, you'd have a pretty funny story to tell

Use Jones as a second middle name and Long as the surname.

Go for whichever one (personally I’d chose husband’s name to have same name as your children) and then give your children longer first names to balance it out.
