You don't hear it very often and to me it sounds strong but attractive without being flowery.

It makes me think of Romy Schneider.
Her real name was Rosemarie but it could be short for Rosemary or Romola or even Ramona. I don't like Romilly at all.

If you like the name, then why not use it unless it sounds ridiculous with the surname.

I'm not sure that Roamy is even a word, and your surname probably isn't Llama.
