If you've named your DD Sienna....?

Hello lovely MN,

Looking for some help and ideas from MN 😊
So my husband and I have chosen the name Sienna if we have a baby girl. It was such an easy decision to make, we just both love the name.
However we cannot agree at all on boys names.
So I wondered if I could ask MN could you help us out? If you chose the name Sienna (or it was a front runner) for your DD what name(s) did you choose or consider calling your son?

I'm hoping this may inspire us Smile

Thank you so much

I don't think it's a particularly popular name. It's number 24 so I don't consider it too popular.

BookishZen · 14/10/2020 20:20

We had on our list
Hayden
Austin
Xander

Aaron

Sienna doesn’t have too good a rep on MN but in RL we’ve had lots of comments on how pretty DD’s name is.

Oneandabean · 14/10/2020 20:36

@Midnightswim maybe it’s just popular where I am. The suggestions I posted above all have sisters called sienna, there’s a lot here.

Britannah · 14/10/2020 21:54

Currently pregnant with DC2 and we have spoken about the name sienna for a while but it’s not our front runner. Our DS is called Oscar and other boys names I just love are Felix, Sebastian, Rupert and Jasper. The two siennas I know have brothers called Luca and Hudson xx

PlantPotting · 14/10/2020 22:46

Sienna is lovely

How about Sidney or Stanley
Otis or Marley or Cole or Ellis or Eli
Casper or Tristan
Dexter or Austin or Blake

MrsP2015 · 14/10/2020 22:51

I think sienna is lovely. DP didn't do it was on my list but not our list lol!

I think people don't like it because of the laxative, senna.

My next door neighbours dd has just named her baby Sienna. Her big brothers are called Grayson and Fraser.

Africa2go · 16/10/2020 19:43

Oh know someone who has named a new baby Grayson this month!

Sunshineonarainydayy · 16/10/2020 20:00

@TenShortStories really? As in Jude Law/Sienna Miller

AllTheUsernamesAreAlreadyTaken · 16/10/2020 20:09

24th most popular is still pretty high. The 1994 equivalents would be David and Olivia. I know a lot of Davids and Olivias in their twenties.
I do like Sienna though. It's a very pretty name.
The Sienna's I know have brothers named

Alex
Elliot
Silas
Ezra
Henry

Flyguy2019 · 16/10/2020 20:23

There are twins at my LB's football class called Spencer and Sienna. Super cute both of them x

CodenameApollo · 16/10/2020 20:44

how is 24th not popular??

Midnightswim · 16/10/2020 23:45

Hi,

Thanks for all your comments, very helpful. Interestingly quite a few responses are names we like such as Elis and oscar. I also like Elias and Osian for a boy.
My husband loves Lucas and Luca which have come up here. Lots to think about.

Regarding popularity, it's a matter of perception I suppose
Top 10 I'd say would be popular but I personally wouldn't consider top 25 popular. Besides that's not really a worry for us so that's not something we need to consider.

I've seen some really crappy feedback about the name on MN and I just don't understand it.
It's such a pretty, strong, elegant name.
