Hi, I love this name and not fussed about it being shortened (not overly keen on Al or Ally as potential nicknames) but I was wondering if anyone has known any others that could be used?

Other nicknames? Hmm, Alice is already short, but you could call her Lissy (not sure about this one myself, just suggesting)and Ace (tomboyish). I personally like the nn Allie, but I can understand why you don't! Alice is lovely all on its own and you've got Alice in Wonderland as a default inspiration for any decorations, cool associations, etc. Oh, and Alice Paul is one of my favorite people named Alice!

I’m an Alice. I’m nearly 50, and I’ve never really bern known as Ali or Al. My DSis and one of my DBros call me a childish “Ali” based nickname, but that’s all. Any nicknames tend to be based on my surname.

It’s my niece’s name and my friend’s name. Neither is anything but Alice!

I love it. My mum is an Alice and she’s never had it shortened, except for my dad occasionally calling her Al.

Thanks for all your replies. Something to think about and we will stick to Alice until she is old enough and then she may pick a nickname herself x

I have an Alice and she's never had her name shortened but we do have nicknames for her. Each one is longer than her name and has just come about in daily life. We don't even know where they came from now.

Alice needs no nickname sister.
